Have Agile and modern frameworks/generators killed mindful software architecture? This talk will take us from the history of modern frameworks, the Agile movement to their combined influence on the process, or rather, the art form of architecting a software solution. Have we forgotten to proactively think about software architecture because generators and frameworks do the "heavy" lifting? Have we forgotten to think in terms of the analysis and design of software components, and documenting the software via UML?

Mihael Sedmak, author

Development team leader, SpringBoot / JEE developer & integrator with 18 years of experience in banking and government software implementations as well as technology and methodology consulting. Current major interests include agile values and principles, and applying Agile best practices for a better way of delivering IT solutions. In the technical landscape, I find the future of JVM languages (Kotlin in particular) extremely interesting with the high potential of redefining how we deliver JEE solutions.
