This AWS GameDay is aimed at Java IT professionals that want to learn skills on running Java applications (such as Spring) in a serverless cloud environment. Participants will work on Java apps running on AWS Lambda, and fine tune them for performance while integrating with other serverless offerings. AWS GameDay is a collaborative learning exercise that tests skills in implementing AWS solutions to solve real-world problems in a gamified, risk-free environment. The lighthearted competition and entertainment, coupled with non-prescriptive tasks, are some of GameDay’s unique attributes that make it a fun and memorable learning experience.Basic knowledge of AWS console required, participants must bring laptops (or they have to be provided).

Melina Schweizer, author
Melina Schweizer is a Sr. Partner Solutions Architect at AWS. At AWS, she focuses on building the GameDay framework and creating GameDay content with AWS Partners. Her pre-AWS career focused on developing and architecting Java applications and she enjoys playing the piano and remodeling houses.
